About the Institute:

Regional Ayurveda Research Centre for Mineral and Marine Medicinal Resources (RARIM&MMR) a peripheral research unit under CCRAS was established in the state of Goa, to carry out specific research programmes on Mineral and Marine Medicinal Resources and to provide quality and affordable health care through Ayurveda. The institute was officially inaugurated on 14/07/2023 by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, MoS for AYUSH, Govt of India. Ayurveda OPD was started functioning on 15^th December 2022.

Mandate:

To provide Ayurvedic medical care at the OPD level.
To conduct scientific research in clinical and non-clinical trials with mineral and marine resources

Vision:

To develop the institute as a center of excellence in Research and patient care in Ayurveda system.

Mission:

To conduct and strengthen quality Research in Ayurveda system.
To provide efficacious, safe and cost- effective health care solutions through creative application of Ayurveda Medicine.

Facilities:

OPD section – Consultation for general physical ailments
Pharmacy – Provides quality Ayurveda medicines for patients at free of cost.
Panchakarma Therapy units: Day care Panchakarma treatment for OPD patients
Library: Has a total of 912 books and Journals
Conference hall: Spacious hall sufficient for 50 members
Store for general storage of items.

Services Available:

Clinical care for all health problems and preventive advices to patients.
Prakruti and Swasthya assessment for patients
Awareness on Yoga with life style and dietary advices
Special consultation for geriatric patients.
Information on medicinal plants and its usages
Reference library for Ayurvedic books and Journals.

Collaborating institutes:

The institute has made an MoU with Datta Meghe Ayurveda College, Hospitals and Research Centre, Maharashtra for conducting PhD Studies in the institute.
The institute is actively engaging with following organizations/Institutes for conducting various events and out-reach activities.
